Nepal Cancer Hospital & Research Center Ltd.
I earned my MBBS from BVU (Binoba Bhave University), India, and completed my MD in Medical Oncology from Sun Yat-Sen University, China. With over 15 years of experience in Medical Oncology, my clinical journey has been driven by a deep commitment to cancer care and patient-centered treatment.
I further advanced my expertise through fellowships in Medical Oncology at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Center (RGCIRC), New Delhi, and the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Bethesda, USA, gaining exposure to international standards of oncology practice.
I am honored to be a recipient of the International Development and Education Award (IDEA) 2009 in Orlando and the IDEA in Palliative Care (IDEA-PC) 2011 in Chicago, awarded by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
In 2011, I was recognized as a Global Cancer Ambassador from Nepal by the American Cancer Society (ACS), where I represented Nepal at the United Nations High-Level Meeting on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) to advocate for stronger global cancer policies.
Over more than 20 years of clinical practice, I have been affiliated with several leading institutions including Om Hospital and Research Center, Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj, Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, Sarvanga Hospital, and Norvic International Hospital and Medical College.
Guided by my vision to establish an international-standard cancer hospital in Nepal, I co-founded the Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center (NCHRC) alongside Dr. Sudip Shrestha. I have been serving as a Board Director of NCHRC since 2011.
I am also the Co-Founder and Vice President of the Nepal Cancer Support Group (NCSG), an NGO dedicated to cancer awareness, patient support, and advocacy for cancer patients and their families across Nepal.
